Khun Lek and Khun Praphai Wiriyaphan

Khun Lek Wiriyaphan was born in 1914 and studied in China at the university level. Khun Lek had the opportunity to travel and study to art and cultural sites and has accumulated a lot of knowledge in art, religion, philosophy, and culture. Therefore, he returned home to continue the family’s business in Thailand. They began to learn and understand more about the meaning of the nation’s art with the realization of the chaos of the world’s society that was caused by the lack of morality, and no one is aware of that worrisome problem.

Khun Lek Wiriyaphan’s intention

Side by side, Thailand and Thai culture have been growing continuously since ancient times. And if it can be preserved with wisdom and insight, it will create invaluable meaning to our present and future. The question is, why this splendid culture has deteriorated?

This is because people don’t care and ignore it. Or maybe there are other important causes hiding. After thinking and reviewing for a long time, he saw that the deterioration of Thai culture day by day is because no one has brought the top of the essence of Thai culture to spread widely among the people, and complete with the use of simple forms that are not too difficult to understand in accordance with the environment and the lives of people in the present.

Hence, when people do not have the opportunity to recognize and understand their own national culture that has been inherited, then how can they admire and accept it? When we realized this, we saw that we had to make it. For this reason, we, who take culture as a mission, must devote our utmost efforts to promote these activities. However, the culture is very broad. It consists of philosophies, ideas, literature, art, history, people, and life, etc. Therefore, we must have a strong determination to carry on our mission confidently.
